The Global Lifting Group represents the interests of many of Australasia’s leading lifting, rigging and height safety suppliers.
The Global Lifting Group was established in 1997 by four small to medium sized businesses seeking to increase their purchasing power in order to be competitive with the major Lifting and Rigging Equipment suppliers operating in the Australian market.
The goals were to combine our purchases and approach international suppliers under one name. As the aspirations were to seek international recognition, the name Global Lifting Group was registered.
Soon after commencement Global Lifting made contact with major international manufacturers, including Thiele Chain (Germany), Bridon Ropes (UK) and DSR Corporation (Korea). Together with our foundation brands and products, we now represent major national and international suppliers, including our “Preferred Partners” KITO PWB, Townley Drop Forge, Yoke Industrial Corp, Allan Marketing Group, Pacific Hoists and Spanset Australia.
Over the years Global Lifting Group’s membership has expanded to encompass all Australian states and territories, as well as SE Asia, positioning us well to service the Australasian market.

Our members include distributors, manufacturers and hire companies, all related to Lifting and Rigging Equipment. Members are chosen using agreed Membership Criteria and all sign up to our Code of Conduct. We demand high standards of professionalism and ethical responsibility from all those using the Global Lifting logo.
This includes our Full Members as well as our Affiliate Members, who are smaller developing businesses aspiring to become full members as their businesses grow.
Global Lifting Group Pty Ltd (A.C.N 166 303 260) was formed in 2013 and operates with an Executive Chairman and three person Management Committee elected every 2 years. We hold three conferences per year where members are briefed with current market trends, new products or projects and we invite selected suppliers to address the group. For all our members, the networking and mentoring aspects are highly valued.
Global Lifting Group is now considered a major force in Australia and beyond and will continue to represent quality, service and experience well into the future.
