About the Global Lifting Group

We represent many of Australasia's most respected lifting, rigging and height safety companies. We are an industry group committed to raising standards, expanding purchasing power and connecting members with the world's best equipment suppliers.

OUR HISTORY

Established in 1997 by four small-to-medium businesses seeking to compete with the major lifting and rigging suppliers in the Australian market, the Global Lifting Group was built on a simple principle: collective strength.

By combining purchasing power and approaching international suppliers under one recognised name, our founding members could access markets and products that would otherwise have been out of reach. We quickly established relationships with major international manufacturers including Thiele Chain (Germany), Bridon Ropes (UK) and DSR Corporation (Korea).

Today, our preferred partner program includes WireCo Australia, Andromeda Industries, Townley Drop Forge, Yoke Industrial Corp, Allan Marketing Group, Pacific Hoists and Spanset Australia — and our membership spans every Australian state and territory, as well as South East Asia.

Standards High standards of professionalism and ethical responsibility are required of every member carrying the GLG logo
