It all started over a dinner in 1997 following the Aimex exhibition in Sydney.

Five business owners came up with an idea and the name Global Lifting Group was born. Those original founders were Greg Jones, Des Heath, Frank Marczan, Tony Halloran and Martyn Finlay.

The benefits of bulk buying became apparent very quickly and today those benefits are enjoyed buy our membership nation wide. Without down playing the importance of our buying power, an equally rewarding aspect is the mateship, networking and regular get togethers. We currently hold 3 conferences per annum where selected industry suppliers are given access to the group to promote their businesses and brands.

Our members travel from all over the country to participate and we dedicate plenty of time for sharing market news and movements. A group dinner follows the conference where the ties are loosened (as if) and we enjoy each others company. The Global Lifting Group has an emerging younger generation of members who will continue for many years to come.
